Details
Magnus Lanje’s formal education in the visual arts began at the City University of New York, where he majored in film and photography. His formative years were spent in the high-pressure creative environment of Manhattan, where he honed his craft assisting and collaborating with some of the most iconic names in the industry, including Gregory Heisler, Mark Seliger, Michael O’Neill, and Harry Benson.
Drawing from the mastery of these legendary mentors, Magnus launched a professional career that has spanned more than a decade in New York City. His work has achieved global reach, featured extensively in international advertising campaigns, editorial magazines, and corporate annual reports.
After establishing himself as a premier talent in New York, Magnus moved to Stockholm, where he became a prominent figure in both commercial and fine art photography. His reputation for capturing power and personality led to the prestigious commissions of photographing the last two Prime Ministers of Sweden: Stefan Löfven and Fredrik Reinfeldt.
Today, Magnus maintains a dynamic international presence, operating out of both Stockholm and Miami. By splitting his time between the Nordic capital and South Florida, he continues to deliver a sophisticated blend of European minimalism and New York-bred technical mastery to a diverse global clientele.
